Lauracyn Duncan

Vice President, Finance and Administration

In April 2022, Lauracyn Duncan was appointed to Vice President of Finance and Administration.  In this role, Lauracyn leads the accounting, finance and administrative affairs of the Federation. As part of the President’s senior leadership team, Lauracyn is responsible for the Federation’s fiscal soundness and operational effectiveness.  Lauracyn joined the Civic Federation in the Fall of 2011 serving as the Operations and Accounting Administrator.  Over her tenure, she has served as Manager and Director of Finance and Operations overseeing Accounting, Finance, Human Resource, and IT functions.

Lauracyn contributes to the overall success of the Civic Federation by monitoring the Federation’s business performance, cash flow and operating budget. Lauracyn’s primary areas of oversight include, financial and asset management, gift processing and fund administration, financial budgeting and forecasting, board reporting and administration, information technology and human resource management and general operations administration. 

Lauracyn has more than 25+ years of experience in non-profit accounting and operational management. She has worked with mission-driven, membership-based organizations like the Million Dollar Round Table, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, The Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the USO of Illinois.

Lauracyn holds a Masters of Business Administration with Distinction from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Health Information Management from Illinois State University.

Lauracyn resides in suburban cook county with her BBQ connoisseur husband, baseball loving son and energetic bichon frise.
